MEET KEITH
I love to be down in the trenches. I am a creative entrepreneur, startup investor, blockchain enthusiast, business operations/product guy, and real estate broker (DRE# 02123457). In H1 of 2025, I am developing relationships with early-stage founders to invest seed capital, seeking meaningful investor and Family Office relationships across asset classes for our SFO nest egg, and listing several properties for real estate clients. Below, you’ll find a more in-depth discussion of my work…
I am the full-time Director of Business Development and Senior Investment Associate at Innovent Capital Group. Our Family Office and Venture Shop is made up of a portfolio of incubated startups and capital allocations. I act as a direct report to both the Chief Operating Officer and SFO Principal and my work spans across a majority of our portfolio. My job is to ‘get stuff done’ and I flex between the roles of a product owner, operator, and startup investor fluidly throughout the day.
I cut my teeth as an independent consultant in business admin, R&D, and market research, eventually working my way up to VP of Product for Homium, Inc., an Innovent venture. Homium is a financial technology startup that digitally securitizes residential real estate. Homium allows homeowners new access to their equity in a way that doesn’t impact their monthly debt burden. I reported directly to the CTO and COO, and my scope of work included: designing and launching product, culture, and vision, evaluating and implementing legal, compliance, and administrative framework, curating the lending process and securitization of real assets, QA and UX of software and business processes, underwriting of residential loans, and exploration of funding, from the ground, up.
If you’ve gotten this far…I began my career creating my first company as a freshman in college. BoxCamp Storage Company, a white-glove summer storage company, served UCLA for a decade as the only dedicated vendor approved by Housing to help students. Over the years, and with the help of an amazing team of fellow students, we created a custom order flow, database, and digital inventory system that allowed BoxCamp to industrialize our storage logistics and contract with a commercial warehousing partner. This optimized project/labor efficiency and profitability, allowing BoxCamp to vertically integrate through the creation of our own trucking, courier, and logistics arms. BoxCamp has also seen successful trial operations at both UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley.
